Spincia oleracea is a leafy green vegetable that came originally from south-western Asia and is now grown in most parts of the world. Commonly it is known as Spinach/Palak (Family-Chenopodiaceae). Though Spinach is most often used as a food, and has great medicinal value. The aim of this study to evaluate pharmacognostic evaluation including examination of morphological characters, ash value, powder analysis, and extractive values were carried out. Quantitative Phytochemical screening of different extracts were carried out. This would help to scientifically justify its pharmacological activities of particular chemical constituents in different extracts.Downloads
