Abstract

Human Carbonic Anhydrase II (CA II) catalyzes the reversible hydration of carbon dioxide into bicarbonate. The role of CA II in maintaining the fluid and PH balance has made it an attractive drug target for the treatment of Glaucoma. Increased level of intraocular pressure is a major risk factor for development glaucoma disease.Insilico prediction based on the crystal structure of CAII is performed. Active Molecular docking studies using Discovery studio software reveals Diamox is potential inhibitor of CAII and satisfied ADME Properties. The Pass prediction results show the inhibiting activity of CAII enzyme.
