Introduction: Metabolic syndrome (MS) is a broadly defined concept that seeks to describe the interactions and mutual synergism of risk factors such as central obesity, impaired glucose tolerance, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia, which are known to be causes of cardiovascular disease, and are the basis for the design of currently used preventive measures against cardiovascular disease.Downloads
